Case Management
Case management plays a crucial role in fostering client wellness and autonomy by providing advocacy, assessment, planning, and resource coordination.
Our dedicated staff helps residents develop independent living skills, offers supportive services alongside treatment, and serves as the primary point of contact between clients and their social and professional networks.
Case management at BRS includes comprehensive support such as coordinating assessments, treatment planning, and crisis intervention services; facilitating connections to community resources; and monitoring service delivery to ensure individuals receive the care they need. Our team assists residents in accessing essential services, including financial aid, housing, healthcare, education, employment support, recreation.
Additionally, we help individuals engage with self-help groups, build social support networks, and navigate the criminal justice system when needed. By offering personalized, solution-focused support, case management at BRS empowers individuals to overcome challenges, enhance their quality of life, and build a sustainable foundation for long-term recovery.



Mental Health and SUD Counseling

well-being of our clients.
Our dedicated counselors assist residents in setting goals, strengthening coping skills, and building self-esteem, thereby empowering them for long-term success in their recovery journey.
Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Counseling at BRS aligns with the American Society of Addiction Medicine's Level 3 criteria, as adopted by the state of Ohio. This approach ensures that our services are tailored to meet the specific needs of each individual, providing structured support in a residential setting. Our counselors are credentialed by the Ohio Chemical Dependency Professionals Board, meeting rigorous educational and experiential standards to deliver effective SUD counseling.
Mental Health Counseling at BRS is conducted by professionals licensed under the Ohio Counselor, Social Worker, and Marriage and Family Therapist Board. Our counselors hold at least a Licensed Professional Counselor designation, which requires a master's degree in counseling and adherence to state guidelines. They provide comprehensive mental health services, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning, all while upholding the highest ethical standards.
By integrating SUD and mental health counseling, BRS offers a holistic approach that addresses the multifaceted challenges our residents face, fostering resilience and promoting sustainable recovery.



Community Psychiatric Supportive Treatment
CPST is an individualized, dynamic support program designed to meet the complex mental health needs of our residents—needs that often extend beyond traditional outpatient treatment.
Recognizing that every individual’s recovery journey is unique, CPST services continuously evolve to accommodate the progress and changing needs of each resident. CPST is delivered by community-based, mobile professionals and multidisciplinary teams, including trained specialists who provide personalized, goal-oriented mental health support.
These services are available to adults, children, adolescents, and families, with the type, duration, and intensity of care tailored to each person’s needs. The primary goal of CPST is to equip individuals with the skills and resources necessary for long-term success in their recovery and daily lives.
This includes enhancing their ability to function in the community, accessing essential services, and improving performance in key areas such as school, work, and family relationships. CPST also fosters community integration, empowering individuals to make meaningful contributions and build a supportive, fulfilling life in recovery.
